An advanced architectural design course, Material Tectonics focused on material fabrication methods and their uses in design techniques and construction.  Assignments in the class included individual material design research and physical construction of collaborative design interventions. Design concepts were developed into construction documents using digital modeling techniques like CAD and CAM. Working through the design and construction emphasized the importance of material selection, ensuring that the craftsmanship of architectural pieces are in harmony with their intended use.
